Welcome to ShAARP Talk, the AARP blog. We are kicking off the blog at Life@50+, a three day event filled with exhibits, experts and entertainment. As of today, over 25,000 of our members are scheduled to join us in Boston.
The event, which starts tomorrow, shows the range of things AARP is all about. Full schedule here, but some highlights we will be blogging about the rest of the week include:
- AARP’s Movies for Grownups: The event will feature five major movie sneak previews – 3:10 to Yuma, In the Shadow of the Moon, The Jane Austen Book Club, King of California and Feast of Love, as well as Aurora Borealis and Away from Her. Plus, there’s a Q and A with Brian Dennehy.
- Talks with Joan and Melissa Rivers, Bobbi Brown, Jane Bryant Quinn and Peter Greenberg.
- Speeches from Presidential candidates Senator Hillary Clinton and former Governor Mike Huckabee.
- Concerts with Rod Stewart and Tony Bennett.
- A convention floor with Nintendo Wii, a NASCAR simulator, and other fun stuff.
Check back for updates and photos from the event.
