New survey out today from AARP Financial [1]finds that over half of Americans don’t read financial literature because it’s too hard to understand. No kidding. Have you tried to figure this stuff out? I’m with the 73 percent surveyed who said that financial professionals use more jargon than car mechanics.
The unfortunate thing about this is that people may be missing out on opportunities, making investment mistakes, even not sign up for retirement plans at work because of confusion. I can’t solve all your problems, but there are good, easy to understand resources [2] out there, particularly when it comes to planning retirement.
