This is awesome. Check out this video and article on how intergenerational programming — in other words, bringing older and younger folks together to build relationships across generations — has been booming as of late. While you generally see these kinds of programs as one-visit stops by a student to an older folk in a retirement home, intergenerational programming is not about charity, but about fostering a sense of community and comradery.
