But like many of you, I’ve struggled to read my insurance statements for years. What do all of the columns mean? What are non-covered charges, and why am I getting them, when I go to a regular doctor of mine? Or why did my insurance company pay less than what they approved for a health expense? For all of us, having to be our own health advocate is hard work, and I’ve long though a cheat sheet to explain it all would be super helpful.
AARP thought so too, so they developed a handy decoder for your Part A and Part B Medicare Summary Notices (MSN). Check out these awesome, clickable tools to translate the tricky statements, and say goodbye to MSN headaches!
