Don’t be like Santa this holiday season.
Seriously, that guy is a health nightmare, between all the extra cookies he eats to his habit of overexerting himself (at least on one night in particular).
Instead, make small, healthy changes to your usual holiday festivities to avoid packing on extra pounds or getting sick.

- You don’t need to give up your favorite foods to stay fit during the holidays. Just tinker a bit with those Hanukkah or Christmas recipes to make them healthier!
- Avoid heartburn after your holiday feasts.
- Avoid packing on the pounds at parties while still having a good time!
Keep sickness at bay
- Wash your hands.
- Dial back the stress, get some fresh air, and take care of yourself.
- Get your flu shot.
- And, um, don’t try thawing your turkey in the clothes dryer.
Buy good gifts
- Be careful what toys you buy for the kids and grandkids. Make sure they’re safe for their age group.
- Consider buying gifts that encourage health and fitness.
