What do Jeff Gordon, James “JB” Brown, Martina Navratilova, me and you have in common? We can all end senior hunger, together.

In case you haven’t heard, there’s a pretty big NASCAR race coming up. While we all love the pomp and circumstance around All-Star week culminating with the Coca-Cola 600 on May 26, there’s a week in between where Drive to End Hunger is set to box one million meals  for older North Carolina residents. And we can’t do it without you!

How can you help?  Volunteer in Charlotte to box food May 24 & 25 at the Charlotte Convention Center. RSVP here. Needed shifts are:

  • Thursday, May 24:  9:30 – 11:30 am, 11 am – 1 pm, 1 – 3 pm
  • Friday, May 25: 9 – 11 am

To boot, Hendrick Motorsports is hosting a Fan Fest and is looking for some great folks to box meals at the Hendrick Campus. If you’re lucky you’ll get to box side-by-side from the crews of the No. 24 Drive to End Hunger crew and other Hendrick teams. You do need to RSVP here.

This is a great opportunity to help your community and help feed older adults struggling with hunger. What do you say? I’ll be there. Will you?
