Our health information is both extremely valuable to us, but also highly important to share with those who need it. To this end AARP is launching AARP Health Record(SM) - an easy-to-use, online tool designed to help people over 50 manage their family health care needs.

AARP Health Record lets you safely store and access critical health information such as medications, allergies, blood type, immunizations and emergency and provider contact information. You can also print an easy-to-read pocket card with vital stats. This info can also be accessed from Internet connected computer, smart phone or tablet.

AARP Health Record is free to AARP members. It is available at www.aarp.org/healthrecord [1] and in Spanish at http://www.aarp.org/mihistorialdesalud [2]. It connects with Microsoft HealthVault, a security- and privacy-enhanced online data repository that enables users to organize, store, share and use their personal health information as desired.

In short, it allows you to carry with you and share vital medical information in a secure and easy to use system.
