Praise be to Jimmy Kimmel, the late-night talk show host, for exposing what people might like the least about Obamacare.
Could it be the fact that President Obama’s name is part of it?
On the eve of the rollout of health insurance marketplaces created by the health care law otherwise known as the Affordable Care Act, Kimmel planted a camera crew on the street to put the following question to passersby: “Which is better — the Affordable Care Act or Obamacare?”
Here’s just one exchange:
Question: Which plan do you support? Obamacare or the Affordable Care Act?
Woman No. 1: The Affordable Care Act.
Question: What is it about Obamacare that you do not like?
Woman No. 1: I just think that there’s a lot of holes in it, and it needs to be revamped. I think it hasn’t been thought out.
While the resulting video may not exactly restore your faith in democracy, it’s really worth a watch:
