Grantmakers In Aging, a nonprofit that works with philanthropies and other organizations to improve the experience of aging, has announced the winners of its first “Friendly Places, Friendly Faces” photo contest. (Among the contest’s four judges was Deb Whitman, AARP executive vice president of policy, strategy and international affairs.) The contest categories focused on “the elements that help to make communities great places to grow up and grow old,” explains Grantmakers In Aging. Here’s the first-place winner in the Parks & Neighborhoods category. See all the winners by visiting the GIA website.
