Some Post Primary Thoughts (Category: Divided We Fail)
Last night, Floridians went to the ballot box to select their candidates in the primary. Over 60 percent of those who showed up in Florida yesterday were 50 and over, according to CNN’s exit polling.
In the Democratic race, health and financial security mattered. In the CNN exit poll of Democratic voters, 55 percent overall cited the economy as the top issue. Just as interesting: those who supported Senator Clinton, 55 percent cited health care as the top issue.
Financial concerns were important in the Republican race as well. Florida attorney Justin Sayfie, author of the online Florida political bible Sayfie Review said in a recent interview in National Review online, “Economic issues are at the forefront in Florida, as the cost of living in the state has become unaffordable for many, and we have seen our population growth go flat in the past year. Property taxes and high property insurance rates are top of mind for Florida voters.” He wasn’t wrong. In the same CNN exit poll, 45 percent of Republicans cited the economy as the top issue.

Just as the democrats did not keep their word (Gore/Lieberman) They said at a large gathering in Hannibal Mossouri, they had a bill working to treat the "Notch Babies" in a fair way, it has never been done at all. Each year seniors get the letter letting us know how much our "raise" for the new year will be, the next sentence informs you of the rise in the Medicare portion, never do they met or equal, so we are falling behind, just as the kids serving this country, call them enlistees, military personnel, now worriors, they get jammed to return their bonuses if wounded and get a raw deal on care and promotion. If you are a new enlistee, you get a bonus, if you are already there and trained, you get nothing....America thinks fair, but the out of the loop in Washington do not, they just don't get it, Why can;t AARP do more in fight for the Notch Baby? We are seniors too! Most don't even know what it was, do you?

It is my opinion that if a tax return is made out then all will receieve the money. I agree that the people earning over a set amount should not receive the "rebate" for instance Bill and Melinda Gates, etc.
We are filing a tax return this year just for that even though we do not owe any tax. Thank you

Obama:
Lier lier pants on fire. You say that you will reduce taxes. If you are elected the only way that you can pay for what you propose is to raise taxes. You say that you will bring the troops home from Irac, but there are commitments that have been nogiatiated by government officials and that we MUST adhere to. Your tax rebates are nothing more than a relief payment that promises to send this country into a depression. The bail out package is already being felt as inflationary. We have had 26% inflation since the year 2000. I do not like everything that John McCain says, but he at least makes sence and will try to pull the country together.
What do you want a lier or someone who maybe can make a real change to the right direction.
