(Category: Health Care)

Medicare and Keeping it Fair. I wrote about AARP’s efforts last week and this week. The good news is that you are on it. I hear that we’ve had 160,000 petitions signed, sealed and delivered. Keep it up!

Judy Adamson says:

I would like to comment on the financial crisis and the recent vote. I have no home I must rent, no credit card, don't care to get one. I would not want the government to take over my bank and screw it up as they have this nation. Don't they realize when the government steps in then they own your house, then what? Will they dictate who can live there,it would no longer be my home but they would dictate many families living under my roof. Like many other votes what is the small print no one knows about? Yes, gas prices are riduculous, groceries are becoming a luxury, my healthcare is costly and doesn't cover much but for the first time in my life I have insurance. I work in a nursing home, one of the finest, many awards, wonderful people to work with and to serve. I tightened my belt many years ago to support myself, what is next for the country? Is it Communisim?

Besides the serious financial crisis that needs immediate correction our government needs to simplify the Medicare healthcare system for our seniors and disabled individuals. The world of regular Medicare, Midicare HMO,Medicare Advantage, Medicare Complete is overwhelming to most!
