I believe that our elected officials have the political resolve to pass a comprehensive energy independence legislation bill before the 2008 elections. But will they take the high road and set aside their political differences in a joint bipartisan effort to do what all Americans deserve from their elected officials? Americans are facing some of the most important economic and energy issues in the history of our country. We need to contact our elected officials and tell them that we want a united effort from them to come together and resolve their differences. Our founding fathers had their different political views and they helped create a government of the people by the people, the greatest nation on earth the United States of America! It's up to the 300 plus million people of America to take our government back from those 545 elected officials and fix our current economic situation!

Forget JOE THE PLUMBER,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,what about Lisa the Hairdresser?

I'm so sick of hearing about Joe the plumber. Dude earns a good wage. What about Lisa the Hairdresser? A single mother, struggling to keep a roof over her family's head and at the same time is dying a slow death due to health issues?

In the meantime, why on earth does our freakin' government feel the need to pay $85,000 a year to provide healthcare for ILLEGAL Freakin" IMMIGRANTS? Why the hell can't we take care of our own people? I'm sure I'm not the only one with a need. But my God, how dare these flippin' politicians even attempt to act like they know what the hell is going on, when all they can do is increase the national debt?

I HAVE HAD ENOUGH!!!!!

It's time for change? You're damn right it's time for change. Let's change the time allowed to campaign to 6 months. Let's limit the amount allowed to spend on the ridiculous campaigns. Let's see who can raise the most money, use it to pay off some of the national debt and let THEM be President.!

I can't wait until this idiotic election is over. I'm sorry to see Rudy out of the running. I think we'd be better off with KERMIT THE FROG FOR PRESIDENT! Let's take a stand as a country and make them limit some of this WASTE.
