Divided We Fail Kicks Off 2009 In A Big Way
Today on Capitol Hill, Divided We Fail held a press conference to announce the start of its efforts in 2009. Acknowledging the quick start that Congress and the President-elect have had, AARP CEO Bill Novelli noted that "The president-elect and new Congress have hit the ground running this month, and we're here to help with the support of 53 million consumers, workers and entrepreneurs." The press conference marked the beginning of Divided We Fail working to improve health care and financial security issues in 2009.
Divided We Fail will be working through the upcoming Congressional recess with townhall meetings across the country to take the people's message to their Representatives and Senators.
President and CEO of NFIB Todd Stottlemyer said "If our organizations-business, labor and consumers-can join forces, so can our leaders in Washington. We're just getting started and we're ready to help."
We are just getting started, but it looks like it's going to be a busy year for Divided We Fail.

Do most members of AARP realize that "cost control" and national healthcare are just another word for rationing? I am 64, I willnot be able to get the health care that my mother and father used to get. she will not get the health care she gets now under a national health progtram- ask the Canadians, the British, any one that lives under governemnet health care lives under governement rationing. Some mid level civil servant who coud not get a job in the real world will be deciding who gets covered and how long they have to wait.

You can always tell what and who will be givong out your left wing releases. Your TV add show your leanings and never really cover what the problems are and except you are in agreememt with the present leaders. No comments on the senate one sided meetings covering the health care bill (s), who so far no one has the faintest idea what it says or wont do. Get on the wagon and stand up for us older but good(er) people. I know your in favor of no medicare... more sales for your advertised health plan.
