I was going to quit AARP due to AARP's support of obamacare. I realized that this is my organization and that you work for me. I therefore require that you tender your resignation immediately along with that of Barry Rand.

It is puzzling to me and somewhat suspicious that the AARP would make blanket statements about HR 3200 without facts. I have suggested to fellow AARP members to consider that the agenda which the AARP management has joined in lock step does not reflect my hopes for what the organization would do for us.
Health care reform is important but the government option, which the AARP seems to support is, like social security, a Bernie Maddoff type ponzy scheme perpetrated on the American public. Real health care reform can work but not the garbage in HR 3200. Read how many times it mentions taxes and fines and penalties.
I wish the AARP had it’s members best interest in mind. It does not. And I will champion my own local effort to help others see the same.

THE FACT THAT OBAMA CARE IS A 100O PLUS PAGE BILL THAT THE PRESIDENT TRIED TO JAM THROUGHT CONGRESS BEFORE SUMMER ADJOURNMENT ,WITH OUT GIVING THEM A CHANCE TO READ OR DEBATE IT,IS ENOUGH TO VETO THIS BILL.

Its all about big government and big organizations like AARP Who cares less if you pull your membership from the organization. You just don't count for that much. You are still living the myth that you're important. "Land of the free and home of the brave." Give me a break!

Since our elected house and senate are deciding the future of our health insurance I feel they should consider following one of two options.
1. All government employees should have the same insurance benefits as the general public.
OR
2. The general public should be given the same insurance benefits the elected House and Senate have voted for their own coverage.
