Makeup artist Bobbi Brown, 58, has served as chief creative officer of her eponymous beauty brand since the 1990s, but success hasn’t changed her one bit. The dynamo who launched the “natural makeup” trend with 10 lipsticks in 1991 is still practical, down-to-earth and constantly tweaking her basic philosophy.
Recently I spent an afternoon at the L’Oréal Paris Tech Center on Fifth Avenue in New York, watching a Diane Keaton video and learning about the company’s new “home hair color” for women over 50. To my surprise, Keaton — who “came out” as gray last year — looked blonder than ever. As she told the camera, “We can grow old gracefully or gorgeously — I pick both.”

A beauty trend gaining traction on runways and magazine covers has spawned its own hashtag: #IWokeUpLikeThis. The "No-Makeup Look," as it’s called, is quick and easy, and the results are very pretty.
