Get Connected: AARP & Microsoft Livestreaming Social Media Bootcamp

We've all heard the stats that seniors are the fastest growing segment on social media. But, they - like all of us - struggle with the balance between staying connected and worrying about privacy and safety. To help, AARP's Washington office teamed up with their neighbor Microsoft to host a free event on social media today. They've got a capacity crowd in the room, but you can watch the livestream right here. 

Participants will learn how to use Facebook and Twitter to connect with friends and family, get involved in causes and volunteer activities and simply have fun!  Marsha Collier, author of "Facebook and Twitter for Seniors for Dummies" is leading the crash course and Microsoft's team will talk about staying safe online and how to make your computer easier to use. Who couldn't use that!!?!?
