More baby boomers want to work longer and as demographics change, smart employers are seeing the value of retaining and hiring workers over 50.
This Inforgraphic shows what's important to 50+ workers, and how award winners of AARP Best Employers for Workers Over 50, cosponsored by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), stack up in terms of offerings. Not surprisingly, flexibility topped the list of what matters - and that's something that's also valued by all generations.
Although Millennials are a way off from caregiving and 'sandwich generation' issues, we're guessing that the younger three of today's four-generation workforce wouldn't turn down most benefits offered by our Best Employer winners.
