Bryan Cranston to Reprise LBJ Role in TV Movie

Many know him as Walter White - the high school chemistry teacher turned drug kingpin of Breaking Bad - but actor Bryan Cranston will be making his way back to television as President Lyndon B. Johnson in a new HBO TV movie.
All the Way, a phrase taken from Johnson's successful 1964 campaign slogan ("All the Way With LBJ"), will be a reprisal of the Tony Award-winning Broadway play of the same name by Robert Schenkkan, in which Cranston portrayed Johnson from President John F. Kennedy's assassination in 1963 to his landslide election the following year. Steven Spielberg, Darryl Frank and Justin Favey will be the executive producers of the HBO adaptation.

Cranston made his Broadway debut after his widely acclaimed five-year run on AMC's Breaking Bad, for which he won three Emmy awards.
For his portrayal of LBJ in "All the Way," Cranston won the Tony award for best actor, and Schenkkan won for best play. An air date for the show has not yet been specified.
