Statement from AARP The Magazine’s Bob Love on the Passing of Gail Sheehy
AARP The Magazine Vice President and Editor in Chief Bob Love released the following statement in response to the passing of Gail Sheehy:
“All of us who work on AARP the Magazine were heartbroken to learn that author Gail Sheehy died on August 24 from complications from pneumonia. Gail was an insightful and highly influential writer, and we were honored to include her essay “Travels with Chollie” in the current issue of the magazine (August-September). Working on the story with her this summer was a pleasure; Gail was – as you would expect – intelligent, tough, but also an eager collaborator. Our thoughts are with Gail’s family and friends and, of course, her dog Chollie.”
