Michael Douglas: Unplugged
By Correy Robertson, January 25, 2010 11:06 AM
In this issue, Douglas opens up candidly about his life - examining his family dynamic with wife Catherine Zeta-Jones (who is 25 years his junior), his relationship with his father, the legendary Kirk Douglas, and his thoughts on mistakes he made as a parent.
All this in addition to gearing up for the launch of his latest film, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, the sequel to the movie that earned him the Best Actor Oscar for his portrayal of ruthless corporate raider Gordon Gekko.
My favorite quote from Michael in the interview? On being a parent at 50+... "I wince when I think I'll be close to 75 when my daughter is 16. I'm not going to be able to physically chase the boys away."
I have a feeling he might still be able to chase them away - look at him at 65!
Douglas' cover shoot and interview is getting a lot of attention already, including this article from USA Today and this one from People Magazine.
Check out the stories, and be sure to check out the March/April issue of AARP The Magazine for the full interview - and a ton of other great stories, as usual!
