AARP's My Generation has posted a stunning interview with Greg Mortenson, the bestselling author of "Three Cups of Tea." It's worth checking out just for the visuals - but also if you're at all interested in human rights in Afghanistan and Mortenson's work of building relationships.
"The Taliban's greatest fear is that the pen is mightier than the bullet," Mortenson said to the Pioneer Press. "They fear that if girls go to school, they will become mothers and spread the value of education to society. Then the Taliban loses ability to get recruits, because since 9/11, they've primarily gone to illiterate, impoverished people."
