Deadline Extended: Help Choose the Winner of an AARP-Sponsored Latino Design Contest

We’re proud to be a sponsor of the 11th annual Friends of the National Museum of the American Latino design competition. We need your help to choose a winner.

Artists from across the country were invited to submit paintings, photos, sketches and other works of art celebrating Latino heritage, history and talent. The submissions were whittled down to a list of 10 finalists by the Friends of the National Museum of the American Latino, which is working to establish an American Latino history museum in Washington, D.C. The theme of this year’s competition is “Our story belongs on the National Mall,” where the Friends group wants to build the museum.

Visit the American Latino Museum’s Facebook page by Sunday, May 8, to choose your favorite piece. The winning artist will receive a $500 gift card and her or his work will be featured in the organization’s posters and promotional materials.
