Thursday Tech: Um, What's this Mahjongg Thing?

So on Tuesday, we were asking what games - videogames or otherwise - you've adopted from your children and grandchildren. We got l ots of fun answers. There was a considerable amount of love for the Wii, and Wii bowling, which I heartily second.
But the most surprising to me? All the love for mahjongg! I'd only read of it before in historical fiction about China. But people play this? And love it? I had no idea. Turns out the AARP online gamers love it too. (3D mahjongg? SWEET.)
