There was game day energy on the ground in Nashville as more than 100 volunteers from AARP and the NFL Players Association (NFLPA) kicked off National Volunteer Week in the Volunteer State.
The volunteers pitched in to repair and renovate the homes of two seniors identified by Rebuilding Together. Watch this clip from WSMV, the NBC affliate in Nashville to get a sense of the good vibes.
The three NFLPA participants – Ross Browner, Jimmy Robinson and John Pointer – dove right in to work and promote the effort, spending the better part of the day with us. They did everything we asked and more (even caravanning across town from one house to the other to meet the media and volunteer needs).
