AARP Launches New Digital Health Benefits Tool for Veterans
By Andrew Soergel, December 8, 2022 06:21 PM
En español | We’ve launched an interactive, mobile-friendly health benefits hub to help veterans, military families and their caregivers navigate health care options and figure out what resources and benefits are available to them.
The AARP Veterans and Military Families Health Benefits Navigator is filled with tips and information about how to enroll in a health care plan through the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), or the Department of Defense, and access other resources available through Medicare, Medicaid or other insurance plans.
The free tool also helps users navigate resources available through the PACT Act, which became law in August and expands benefits available to veterans with conditions resulting from exposure to burn pits and other toxins. Future VA benefit changes will be updated in real time.
The Navigator is the latest resource from our Veterans Resources hub. We also recently launched a veterans newsletter and have a Veterans Fraud Center, a veterans-specific job board, a caregiving guide, and free career and résumé-writing guidance.
