420_longest_marriage.jpg

Meet Herbert and Zelmyra Fisher. For 85 years, this couple has been married. When they were married, Calvin Coolidge was President. John T. Scopes was on trial for daring to teach the theory of evolution. Mount Rushmore was being dedicated.
Man, that's a lot of life and love and companionship. Congratulations to the Fishers.
Your morning headlines: Who's going to run Chicago? It won't be 21-year-Mayor Daley anymore; but it could be White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel. Speculate! In the meantime, BP is taking oh, just some of the blame for that oil spill. About three-fourths of us (that's Internet users in the United States) have been affected by "cyber-crime" - aka, viruses, malware, our Facebook getting hacked, et cetera.
Happy Wednesday. A great quote to play you out, from Tom Stoppard's play "The Real Thing":
I don't think writers are sacred, but words are. They deserve respect. If you get the right ones in the right order, you can nudge the world a little or make a poem which children will speak for you when you're dead.
