Yeah, I still like real instruments better.... But it's kinda cool. (The iPad is pretty darned useful, by the way. We rounded up 10 good uses here.)
Headlines: You may have heard that another president has announced the end of combat operations in Iraq; Sen. Murkowski becomes the third senator this year to be primaried out of reelection; California won't ban plastic bags after all; Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spent the morning together (Whatever do you think could have been the topic? Kids? Best vacation spots?) and Netanyahu called their discussion "open, productive, serious in the quest for peace." Tomorrow and Thursday will continue the White House's moderation of the first Israeli-Palestine talks in 20 months. Reuters says the worst of Hurricane Earl is heading away from the East Coast, which is a shame - I really wanted more rain. But if you live in North Carolina, you're definitely getting your fair share.
Happy September. I'm in a great mood, and so is the stock market. Welcome to almost-Fall. Holidays will be here before we know it.
