What's Your Sign, Valentine?

Stumped for the perfect Valentine's Day gift for your sweetie? Maybe the answer is in the stars.

A recent survey by the website Ebates.com suggests that a person's astrological sign might give some guidance for what gift might make your honey swoon.

For example, if you are buying for a Capricorn, Taurus or Virgo, consider the classic Valentine's Day gifts like flowers and jewelry. If you are shopping for an Aries, Leo or Sagittarius, you could be a hit with either a pair of shoes or a fancy new tablet or mobile device. Cancers, Pisces or Scorpios prefer gift cards while Libra, Aquarius and Gemini birthdays like chocolates or clothes.

Some of these gifts also fit the price range many folks have budgeted for this Valentine's Day.   RetailMeNot.com says 60 percent of those surveyed plan to spend less than $50 on their sweetheart this year.

Confused on what to give? One safe bet  is a gift card, which takes the burden of shopping off you.  Among those polled by Ebates.com, 24 percent of men and women age 45 and older prefer a gift card.
