Hi blog readers  Jenn here from the communications team, just a quick  update for the day. You have probably heard that the Governor's plan to reform Medicaid has been proposed and includes a provision which would entirely eliminate  Illinois Cares Rx.   Amidst all the hoopla and uproar (including our own) I just wanted to draw your attention to a couple of things.

First thing: Contact your legislators now and tell them to protect this vital program while negotiations are still happening. Before they get ideas down on paper, before they go one step further,  call 1-888-616-3322  them and tell them:

Second Thing:  In case you haven't already picked up  your phone to contact your legislators here's a video to get you moving...

Third thing:  It's easy to get lost in the numbers and not focus on the people. Here's a real life story we received  today on the importance of Senior Programs in Illinios.  There are thousands more just like it.
