Hands
Have you ever thought about how many times you use your hands in a day? Perhaps you've pondered which fingers you could do without if you had to get rid of a couple? Maybe you've thought about how quickly your body sends signals back and forth so that you can type a blog post, tie your shoe or lift your fork? It's actually pretty fascinating when you stop and think about it!

Let's face it, even though Medicare provides health coverage for 49 million Americans, the program itself isn't all that easy to understand. That's why AARP Illinois State President Merri Dee and AARP Illinois staff member and Medicare expert Courtney Hedderman got together this week for a question-and-answer session with about 1,500 of our members through a tele-town hall. Here are some of the questions asked during the call and the answers.

AARP IL Blog - Experience Corps Driven By Latino Leaders
AARP Experience Corps Chicago aims to improve child literacy rates among young Chicago Latinos. As the office gears to open in March, Myrna Torres takes her position as Experience Corps Chicago's new Branch Director. Tomas Revollo, a retired principal and educational thought leader, volunteers his time and expertise to connect Experience Corps with current Chicago Public School principals. Both have a deep interest in serving the Latino community, and that interest is invaluable in completing EC's mission.
